Once again fans are miffed with the makers of the singing reality show, Indian Idol 12. The recent guest judge to grace the show was veteran actor Reena Roy. The yesteryear star spread 70s & 80s magic in the air with her presence. However, in the latest promo of Indian Idol 12, we saw Reena Roy doing a little masti with two contestants Arunita Kanjilal and Pawandeep Rajan. After giving a powerful performance, Reena asks Pawandeep about his favourite dish, to which he answers to be ‘Kheer’. Soon a dish of kheer was called on stage but the twist in the tale was when Reena ‘randomly’ called Arunita on stage.
Completely taken aback, Arunita comes on stage and recites some romantic lines for Pawandeep that was dictated by Reena Roy. The actor then asked them to feed each other that leaves the audience and host Aditya Narayan in cheers. As the two looked pretty embarrassed with the situation, their fans were irked to see a ‘forced’ romance segment in the show. The fans quickly flocked at the comment section and slammed the channel for the same.
A fan said how the two are forced to do this as it read, “Where is Pawan's promo. Everyone's promo is released except for Pawan. And you release these clips done forcefully upon Pawan and Aru. Have some shame for God's sake!” While another one asked the makers not to embarrass them, “Bhai in dono ke piche kyu pade ho ? Sab ko ache lagthe hai ye dono magar itna bhi national television pe embarrass mat karo.”
There was another fan who simply called it ‘crap’ as he wrote, “What is this crap? How can you embarrass two contestants like this? Earlier, a similar thing had happened when the makers showcased Pawandeep Rajan and Arunita Kanjilal’s fake love angle. The makers did try to create a love angle between the two which backfired them.
