Indian Idol 12 host & singer Aditya Narayan reposted an Instagram post of his father and legendary singer Udit Narayan. This post is extremely special as his father completed 41 years of his debut venture in the music industry today. Aditya shared the picture of his father from his young days, as he recorded the first playback song of his music career. Aditya sharing this post penned in his Instagram post wrote, “Happy Udit Narayan day to the G.O.A.T. #41years”

Singer Tony Kakkar responding to this post wrote, “Respect,” followed by heart emoji. The senior singer penned a long note sharing his experience as he completes 41 years of his playback debut. His playback song was composed by Rajesh Roshan, and it allowed him to work with none other than Mohammad Rafi at the very beginning of his career. He wrote, “41 years ago, my first ever playback venture in the Indian Film & Music industry for the film ‘Unees Bees’ released, composed by Rajesh Roshan ji. I was fortunate to sing my debut song with my idol Shri Mohammad Rafi saab.”

Further, he thanked everyone for giving him the opportunity and shared how a young boy fulfilled his ambition to become a singer, “Thanks to everyone who gave me the opportunity to work with them, the young boy from Mithilanchal fulfilled his ambition of becoming a playback singer.” On the end note, he thanked all his fans and wishers for recognizing this day as Udit Narayan day, “Thank you fans & well-wishers for recognising 5th July as Udit Narayan day”


Udit Narayan recently graced Indian Idol 12 along with Abhijeet Bhattacharya as a guest judge.
