Indian Idol 12: Jaya Prada Recalls How Amitabh Bachchan Smartly Covered His Burnt Hand During De De Pyar De Shoot; Shares Intriguing Trivia
Jaya Prada shared how Amitabh Bachchan smartly covered his burnt hand while filming De De Pyar De. The actress recently graced the stage of Indian Idol 12
Senior actress and politician Jaya Prada graced the singing reality show Indian Idol 12, where she spills the beans on rare known stories from her acting days. The actress revealed how megastar Amitabh Bachchan hid his hand as it was burnt during the shoot of the song De De Pyar De according to the choreography he had to use his hands the most. So the actor wrapped his hand in a bandage and tucked it in his pocket, while using the other hand for performing the dance number.
She said, “This song needed a lot of acting. However, owing to some previous shooting sequences, Amit Ji got his hand burnt due to firecrackers. Amitabh Ji, who is such a legend, knows how to take advantage of all the situations. He came up with an idea. He decided to keep the hand wrapped in bandage in his pocket and used the other hand for performing the sequence.” Adding further she mentioned the actor making it his style. The senior actress also jokingly revealed that Dharmendra was a big flirt.
On being shown pictures of Dharmendra, Rajesh Khanna, Jeetendra, Amitabh Bachchan, Shatrughan Sinha and Rishi Kapoor, and asked who was most nervous while filming a romantic scene, she picked Dharmendra.
