Indian Idol 12: Pawandeep Rajan’s Fans Are Furious Over Makers Discrimination Against Him; Arunita Kanjilal Called Out For Her Behaviour Towards Him

After Nachiket Lele (who was evicted in the initial episodes of the show), the one Indian Idol contestant who has a huge fan base is Pawandeep Rajan. Multiple fan clubs and Twitter trends are dedicated to him. With every performance of his, fans start praising him on social media. Well, in the recent episode of Indian Idol 12, Pawandeep Rajan’s fans feel the makers discriminated against him. It so happened, to spice up the competition, the makers introduced the Boys Vs Girls round. During one segment, Pawandeep and Arunita Kanjilal competed with each other but judges announced Arunita as the winner of the round.

After defeating him, the judges asked her what punishment she would like to give him. Arunita said that she wants to give Pawandeep something sweet. After this, a cake was brought on the stage and suddenly Arunita, along with host Aditya Narayan, smash Pawandeep's face on the cake. People did not like this action of the makers. Furious fans thought this is discrimination against him because the rule of punishment was not imposed on any other contestant and deliberately announced Arunita as the winner. They even slammed Arunita was playing along with the makers.

A fan wrote, “The worst thing of that episode was the way Pawandeep was treated, I know this episode was shooted near Pawandeep's birthday, but is this the way to celebrate his special day?” Another one said, “Very disappointed with over-action of #AdityaNarayan on #Pawandeeprajan's face cake punch. #arunitakanjilal1 action was enough for entertainment. No action was required to demoralize #Pawandeeprajan”

1) why other contestent except Pawandeep and Nihal was not given any punishment (if same rules apply)
2) why sayali was not asked the same question that what punishment she want to give to Nihal,why this favour given to arunita only
