Jasmin Bhasin On The Showbiz Industry: 'I Never Regretted Being In This Profession, And I Have No Plans Of Quitting It'- EXCLUSIVE
Bigg Boss 14 star Jasmin Bhasin is always in news. The actor talks about her love for the showbiz profession and why she never plans to quit.
Jasmin Bhasin is known for many fiction and non-fiction shows such as Tashan-e-Ishq, Dil Se Dil Tak, Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji, Naagin, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 9 and Bigg Boss 14. She has also done a few music videos recently but the world of showbiz is highly unpredictable and thus she speaks about the highs and lows of the glamour world.
“It’s true that sometimes there is a lot of work, sometimes there is less or no work. Honestly, I never felt that I chose the wrong profession because I love what I do. It is important for me to enjoy what I am doing and it’s not that important that I need to be doing it 365 days. I might be doing it for 30 days, but I need to enjoy it. I never regretted being in this profession because whatever opportunities I’ve got has been satisfying, so I feel content,”. Jasmin also never thought of having an alternate career as a backup in case the journey here gets bumpy, "But, because I am a big foodie, in future I would love to associate myself with food business in some way or the other. Many actors have quit the industry to continue with their alternate careers. Reacting to the same, Jasmin explains, “To each their own. Everyone has their own journey, their own goals and ambitions, I cannot comment on that. People should always choose what makes them feel content and happy. Different people visualise their journey in different ways. I don’t have any plans of quitting acting. I might, as I said, join the food business but acting will always be my priority.”
Actors and even celebrities from other fields have also got themselves associated with some other field of work along with starting their own ventures. It’s a common opinion that when the name and face of a celebrity is attached to something it does give a boost to the business, "Yes it does. The expectation of people also increases because they look up to us and if we are offering something they feel it will definitely be better. At the end of the day, a consumer is a consumer if they are investing their money into they would expect it to be the best. Starting a business requires a lot of investments and hard work. So whoever wants to do it will always intend to do it nicely and be successful but if it doesn’t work out it’s really sad. But I don’t think it can damage someone’s reputation. No one wants to make a loss-making venture,” says Jasmin, talking about whether the celebs are to be blamed if the business ventures they promote fail to fly high.
