Jaswir Kaur walks out of Gupchup, Monica Castelino steps into her shoes
The producers of the silent comedy, who were left in the lurch by Jasvir, are finally heaving a sigh of relief
After facing a few hurdles, Gupchup, a silent comedy for SAB TV is on its way to hit the small screen.
SpotboyE.com has it that Jaswir Kaur of CID fame, who was roped in to play the female lead, walked out of the show at the last minute.
The actress had given her nod, her look test was done – the deal was almost sealed. Just when the makers were all ready to begin shooting, Jaswir did a turnaround of sorts. The actress upped and left the show. Reason – she received lucrative offers in Bangkok.
The makers of Gupchup didn’t know what hit them. Left high and dry, they instantly started looking out for a suitable actress to fit the bill.
Now, Monica Castelino, who has acted in serials like Pratigya and Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani, has been brought on board.
