Jennifer Winget Gets A New Father
Shortly after the actress’ on-screen father Sachin Tyagi walks out of Behad, the makers rope in another actor to replace him
Jennifer Winget’s comeback vehicle Behad has run into controversy even before it could go on air. SpotboyE.com has it that her on-screen father Sachin Tyagi has quit the show owing to irreconcilable differences with the channel (Sony) and now, the makers have roped in Rajesh Khattar to replace him.
Says a source, “On paper, Sachin quite liked the role, which is why he took it up. However, as they began shooting he realised that this is not what he had envisioned. He conveyed his issues to the channel and eventually walked out. Rajesh Khattar has replaced him”
Khattar has acted in several Hindi films such as Khiladi 786, Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, Race 2 and Don 2 among others. He is married to Neelima Azeem and is Shahid Kapoor’s step-father.
Jennifer Winget, who is returning to the small screen after a hiatus of two years with the show (she was last seen in Saraswatichandra), will essay the role of an insomniac sociopath. Talking about her role, the actress had earlier said that she is excited about playing a grey-shaded character. Former Bigg Boss contestant Kushal Tandon will play the male lead.
Produced by Cinevistaas Limited, Behad is a romantic thriller showcasing two different shades of love – one driven by obsession and the other, by selflessness and purity. The thriller television series goes on air next month.
