Kamya Panjabi rose to fame with her portrayal of Sindoora in 'Banoo Main Teri Dulhann' and now, she will be seen playing the role of Banjaran named Gauri in ‘Sanjog’. Interestingly, she has always been blessed on the work front, however, it was her personal life that sought stability for a long time.
Well, her prayers were finally answered when she met Shalabh Dang. She fell in love with him and tied the knot in February 2020. Talking about her life after marriage, she shared that one attains mental stability when one gets the right partner and it is reassuring to know that someone has your back. Kamya, in a recent interview with ETimes, even shared that Shalabh and she are always on the same page, including their views about having another child. She shares, “Shalabh and I often discuss the possibility of having a child. However, then I take a step back, as I don’t want to go through the process again. Raising my daughter (Aara) single-handedly has been quite challenging. It’s easy for people to call me strong, but believe me, it has been very difficult journey for both of us. It would break my heart to leave her and go to work when she was young.”
She continued, “I had to tell her that mamma needs to work to make sure that you go to a good school, have these amazing toys and birthday parties. It’s been a difficult journey and a long struggle. Now, I feel that God has given me an opportunity to live my life for the first time by blessing me with Shalabh and I want to make the most of it. Both our children (12-year-old Aara and Shalabh’s 13-year-old son, Ishaan, from his first marriage) are grown up. We have raised our children single-handedly.”
She further added, “Mann karta hai, kabhi kabhi lagta hai to have another child but woh wahiin khatam ho jaata hai. Having a child is a lifetime responsibility. I don’t shy away from it but ab mujhe apni zindagi jeeni hai, mujhe apne pati ke saath holidays par jaana hai, mujhe ab woh saari cheezein karni hain jo maine nahi kee hain apne picchle 40 saalon mein. I don’t wish to comprise it for anything. For now, our two kids are keeping us occupied (smiles) and I am not looking at a third one. In fact, I have become a child now.
