Kamya Punjabi Takes A CRYTIC Dig Sonakshi Sinha’s Performance In Dahaad? Actress Says, ‘She Is Daughter Of A Veteran, Unko Bilkul Acting Nahi Aati’

With the rise of content to watch on television as well as the OTT space, the lines between Bollywood, TV and OTT actors have started to blur. Many celebrities have taken one step forward in their career to prioritise content over the medium on which their content will be released. The recent one to join the bandwagon is Sonakshi Sinha. Coming from a filmy background, she made her digital debut with Dahaad, where she plays the role of a no nonsense cop. However it seems like her performance hasn’t gone down well with actress Kamya Panjabi.
Having made a name for herself in the television industry with serials like Shakti Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, Doli Armaanon Ki and many more, Kamya recently shared her thoughts about being least interested in exploring the OTT space. She revealed how she doesn’t want actors to be categorised as TV, OTT or film stars. Further in the interview, she took a cryptic dig at actors ‘jin ko acting ka A bhi nahi aata’. While she refused to name them, she used terms like ‘daughter of a veteran,’ which led to the speculation that she was talking about Sonakshi’s performance in Dahaad. Talking to Hindustan Times about the same, she explained that she couldn’t watch more than one episode of a recently released web show because the acting wasn’t at par. She said, “ I started that show aur mujh se ek episode se zyada hazam nahi hua because unko bilkul acting nahi aati.”
The 43-year-old actress added, “But what can one do... she is the daughter of a veteran, and then she is doing the web show.” Further in her interview, she also spoke about how doing television is first love and that she is happy being a part of serials
