Kapil Sharma beats Bajirao Mastani & Krushna Abhishek
Remember how Colors had tried to wean viewers away from the first episode of Sony’s The Kapil Sharma Show by airing Bajirao Mastani (Jittery Colors pulls out Bajirao Mastani card to counter Kapil Sharma’s Sony show, April 10)?

The channel had not telecast Comedy Nights Bachao -- it is usually aired at 9 pm every weekend -- in a bid to beat Kapil in the ratings battle.

But looks like their efforts, which included a massive publicity campaign, have not paid off. For, the latest ratings are out and Kapil and his team have clearly emerged winners.
On April 23, when Kapil launched his show with Shah Rukh Khan as the guest, the comedian bagged a rating of 3. On the other hand, Bajirao Mastani had to settle for 2.4.

The next day too, the Sony show got a healthy 2.9. However, Krushna Abhishek-Bharti Singh’s Comedy Nights Bachao fell way back with just 1.7.
The numbers speak for themselves, go ‘figure’ it out.
