Karan arrives 6 hours late for award show, throws tantrum over vanity van
The Yeh Hai Mohabbatein star refused to be a part of the function until his demands were met
You know that Karan Patel won the top honour at the recently held Star Parivaar Awards, but we bet you don’t know all the drama that he created before the award show began.
We hear, Karan was asked to show up at the award ceremony at 12 pm – well before the function began so that he could complete his photo shoot and media interaction.
The clock ticked 12, then 1, but Karan was nowhere in sight. The crew of the function were frantically making calls to the star and his team but got no response.
Finally, after a good six-hour wait, the star walked in only at 6 pm. Sadly, the event organisers’ trouble didn’t end there.
As soon as the actor reached the premises, he threw a fit – Karan was mighty pissed that his vanity van couldn’t be parked next to his car.
A crew member reveals, “Karan said that he wants his van to be parked right next to his car so that he doesn’t have to walk too much to go up to his vanity van. Can you believe it! He also said that they should arrange for a temporary restroom next to his van. He gave the organisers a very hard time.”
Poor organisers had no option but to give in. Only when his demands were met did Karan step out for the event.
