Karan Mehra Claims Nisha Rawal Is Bipolar And Spat On Him Twice; Her Brother Physically Assaulted Him: ‘Cameras Were Switched off; It Was Fully Planned’
Karan Mehra, who was recently granted bail after being arrested by Mumbai Police last night, has claimed that he and his wife Nisha Rawal had a disagreement while talking about the divorce. He also said that Nisha spat on him, while her Rakhi brother physically assaulted him
This morning, SpotboyE reported that Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor Karan Mehra was arrested by the Mumbai Police last night, after his wife Nisha Rawal filed an FIR against him and accused him of domestic violence. Nisha alleged that after an argument, Karan pushed her against a wall and hurt her head. Karan has now been granted bail. In a recent interview, Karan Mehra denied the allegations, and instead claimed that Nisha spat on him, while her brother physically assaulted him.
While speaking to Pinkvilla, Karan Mehra said that there had been a disagreement while talking about the divorce. He said that he is recovering from COVID and has had very low energy, however, they were trying to figure out how they can do this agreeably. He said that he called Nisha’s Rakhi brother Rohit to come and resolve the situation, as it was getting difficult for them to make a productive conversation. He said that they all discussed the financial talk about alimony, and Karan stated a figure, which they did not agree with. “So around 10 pm when I was sleeping, they came from somewhere and knocked on my room’s door. Rohit said he wanted to talk and came in. I told him that I can give this, and I can’t do more than that. Main jitna kamata hun, aap bol rahe ho woh humein de do, I can’t do that right?” he said.
Karan Mehra claims that Nisha’s Rakhi brother Rohit didn’t agree, after which Karan suggested they would talk in the Court. Karan claimed that he was talking to his mother on the phone, when Nisha came into his room and got hyper. He said that she started abusing him and his parents. “She tried to get physical with me and I said, ‘please don't do all this and please get out’. She spat on me and stuff also, twice. So I went to the bathroom to kind of clean it, and just when I went towards the tap inside the bathroom, she said ‘now you see what I do’ and she banged her head on the wall. Then she went out and said ‘Karan did this’,” he said.
Karan claimed that when he told Rohit that he didn’t hit her, Rohit physically assaulted him, slapped him twice and shoved him. He asked Rohit not to do this, and that there are cameras around the house. However, he said he was surprised to see that the cameras were turned off. “Then they took their mobile cameras out and said ‘Karan did this and that’. So it was a fully planned thing. This is what happens after 14 years of being together,” said Karan.
