Karan Wahi Says ‘Beware Of Remdesivir Fraud’ While Sharing How To Identify Fake Packages Of COVID Drug; Rithvik Dhanjani, Mahhi Vij Are Appalled
As the second wave of COVID-19 has hit India, medical resources have been strained, and over the last few days, a lot of people have been posting SOS calls of patients. Many on social media shared about patients being in need of hospital beds, COVID drugs such as Remdesivir, Tocilizumab, and asking about its availability. The huge demand for these in such desperate times has also reportedly led to black marketing of the COVID drugs. Taking advantage of the situation, some people have also reportedly been selling fake Remdesivir injections, and now, television actor Karan Wahi asked people to beware of this fraud.

Karan Wahi took to his Instagram account to warn fans about the fake Remdesivir injections being sold. He then shared two pictures, which help in identifying the fake Remdesivir injection from the real one. The pictures detail out how one can differentiate between a genuine Remdesivir and a fake one by pointing out the errors present on its package. Sharing the pictures, Karan Wahi wrote, “Beware of the Remdesivir fraud...#please swipe to see the actual product.” Rithvik Dhanjani, Mahhi Vij were horrified to see the fake version being sold at a time when many have been in desperate need of the injections.

Rithvik commented, “The f*ck,” while Mahhi Vij wrote, “Humanity.” One social media user commented, “It's crazy as to how in these desperate times also people can come up with fake stuff that can endanger someone's life.”

Last week, Kusha Kapila had slammed the black marketing of COVID-19 drugs. She tweeted, “just received a tip that Tocilizumab is available for INR 2,20,000 today in the black market in Delhi. FOR ONE DOSE! Shame on whoever is trying to profit off people's tragedies. this needs urgent attention. Who do we hold accountable? This is so frustrating.” ALSO READ: Gurmeet Choudhary To Open An Ultra Modern 1000 Bed Hospital In Patna And Lucknow Amid COVID-19 Crisis; Karan Wahi Offers To Help
