Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2: Ekta Kapoor Welcomes Karan Singh Grover Aka Mr Bajaj; Calls Him, “Sexy Old Wine”
Producer of Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, Ekta Kapoor has welcomed Karan Singh Grover as Mr Bajaj through a social media post
We love reminding you guys that we were the first to break the news that Karan Singh Grover will essay the iconic role of Mr Bajaj originally played by Ronit Roy in first part of Kasautii Zindagii Kay. In fact, we even brought you his first look as Mr Bajaj.
Now, producer Ekta Kapoor has shared his salt-and-pepper look on social media and has described him in the sexiest manner possible. Ekta wrote, “Hello Rishab !!! U are hardhearted as steel and sexy old wine .... An acquired taste like single malt ....u carry ur calculated casualness with a panther like walk!!!! Mr bajaj is back!!! Prerna now is going to torn between Anu’s boyish yet deep intensity n bajaj‘s age old charm !!!”
For those who don’t know, Karan was a part of Kasautii Zindagii Kay as well, however, he essayed the role of Sharad Gupta, first husband of Sneha Basu- Anurag and Prerna’s daughter. This time, he’s back to woo Prerna as Mr Bajaj.
When we asked him about his wife Bipasha’s reaction on seeing him in this avatar, he told us, "She doesn't compliment easily but seeing me in Mr. Bajaj attire, she said 'I am looking hot'. What else you need?" When we interviewed him, he revealed how he bagged this role. Said Karan,”I was shooting for Alt Balaji's Boss and I had a late call time, when I received a message from Chloe who is the Creative head of Balaji Telefilms. She said 'we are doing Kasautii again'. And I said, 'yaa I know that'. She added that they are introducing Mr.Bajaj soon and asked if I would like to do it. I immediately said yes. That was the moment. There was no thinking required as it is such a powerful character. If it would have gone to any other actor, I am sure they would have also taken it. I am blessed that it's me.”
