Kaun Banega Crorepati 12: Amitabh Bachchan To Give An Elbow Bump Instead Of A Handshake To Greet The Contestants, Reveals Show Director
With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, many have altered the way they greet one another. Social distancing and wearing masks has become of utmost importance in these times. Coronavirus has changed the way people live, and hence, makers of the TV quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati 12 have also altered the way host Amitabh Bachchan will greet the contestants to be seen on the show. Instead of a handshake which was one of the ways the star greeted the contestants who came on the show, now he will be seen giving an elbow bump.

Director Arun Sheshkumar revealed it in his conversation with MidDay that Big B finds it pretty strange, but he assures the audience will like it as the actor does it in a cute manner. He also states fans might also imitate him, he said, “Mr Bachchan keeps saying, ‘Kitna vichitra ho gaya hai (how strange is this)’. Since a handshake is discouraged in the prevailing situation, Mr Bachchan has devised an elbow bump. He does it in a cute manner, fans will surely imitate him.”

Big B only commenced with the shoot of the quiz show after he fully recovered from COVID-19 and continues to shoot for it following all the safety measures.

Talking about the safety precautions taken on the sets, Arun Sheshkumar further added, “Control rooms have been modified to include glass partitions, unit hands are dressed in PPE suits, and their temperature and oxygen readings are constantly monitored.” ALSO READ: Kaun Banega Crorepati Winner Sushil Kumar Pens A Lengthy Note Describing The 'Worst Phase' Of Life After Winning Rs 5 Crore
