Bigg Boss 5 runner-up Mahekk Chahal was in a relationship with Ameesha Patel’s brother Ashmit Patel for almost 5 years. Reportedly, Ashmit and Mahekk were so madly in love that they had secretly exchanged rings in the month of August 2017 and were planning for a grand destination wedding in 2018. However, they parted ways in January this year, citing compatibility issues. Well, in a recent interview, Mahekk who is now gearing up to face her fears in Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 opened about her split with Ashmit where she revealed he was not the right person for her.
When asked if she blames herself for this split, she told ET, “Not at all. I chose to walk off. When you start living together and spending more time with a particular person, you get to know the real him/her. I don't think that Ashmit was the right person for me." She also said that the post-breakup period was very difficult for her but friends and family helped her through. “My friends and family stood by me. I shared my issues with them. I was in Goa for a year. Owing to the lockdown, I would come down to Mumbai only if required. I spent a lot of time with nature in Goa; nature has a calming, soothing and healing influence on me. Time heals everything and this time was no exception.”
Since she is all set to take off to Capetown to shoot KKK 11 with Rohit Shetty and other contestants, Mahekk Chahal talks about the show as she says, “I want to win it. I see myself as a changed person, maybe it will change my career too. And, I am looking forward to making some good friends in the show.”
Apart Mahekk Chahal, Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 will also see Vishal Aditya Singh, Aastha Gill,, Abhinav Shukla, Varun Sood, Sanaya Irani, Arjun Bijlani, Nikki Tamboli, Rahul Vaidya and among others.
