Your fans are upset with Rohit Shetty for scolding you in one of the promos of Khatron Ke Khiladi 10?
I would request them not to be upset with him. If he has scolded me for something it means I may have said something which I am not supposed to say. And he saying me to be in my limits or I will throw you out of the show is probably because he feels that he has that much haq on me. Kehte hain na, aap usi ko dantte ho jisko aap apna maante ho. So I have nothing against him. In fact, through you guys, I want to wish him a very Happy Birthday as it's his birthday today.
I have read all the support lend and I am overwhelmed. My fans are upset because they also understand what I said wasn't wrong because the wax stunt which Balraj and I performed was declared as no elimination stunt. And to perform that stunt, I literally burnt my legs. I still have scars.
Your family got upset seeing the promo?
Honestly, I was very scared of that incident ever since I came back from Bulgaria. In fact I had told my mother also that mujhe Rohit Sir se ek episode mein bahut daant pad gayi thi to an extent that he said I will throw you out and all. Actually it was my first reality show, so I didn't realise that how calculatively we have to put things in front of the camera. Main bahut real hoon, mere dil mein jo bhi aata hai main bol deti hoon. But somewhere I thought they may not air this thing. And now when I saw they have edited even a promo, I got more scared, It might impact my image. After all, my fan following in front of Rohit Sir is nothing.
So what did your mother exactly say after she saw it?
My mother told me, "Teju, it is very evident that he cares for you. He talks to you more compared to other contestants. So even if he is scolding you, I don't think he has any other intention to put you down. He was just trying to make you understand something and correct a few things. And frankly speaking, we had lots of fun on the set. So, I don't want people to judge our equation on this one particular incident. Rohit sir is an amazing person and I am very fond of him.
What happened next after he scolded you?
The very same moment, he told me Tejasswi I am purposely saying all this in English so that it doesn't get telecast. I really don't know if the channel (Colors) will air his line where he says so. But you can check with all the contestants who were present there with me.
Were you reluctant to take up the show?
No, in fact I was very excited to do it. Because this is the only show which can be purely won on your strength. No mind game or manipulation is required. This reality show is so real that only your strength can make you the winner.
Benefits from the show?
I have a lot of problem with hi- movement activities. Ulta latakne se, bhaagne se etc mujhe bahut darr lagta hai. I feel dizzy. But this show helped me to overcome a bit of that.
