TV actor Chetan Hansraj has resumed work and is currently featuring in the second season of the show Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya. Chetan, who has been a part of the popular show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi had risen to fame for his acting skills as an antagonist in the shows. As Hansraj is back on the sets, in an interview, the actor opened up about his dire financial situation during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. Chetan mentioned being financially broke. The Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi fame also revealed that 2020 was the toughest year for him.
Speaking with ETimes, Chetan Hansraj shared that, at one point, he was on the verge of not having absolutely anything in his account. He added that this was because even if one may have worked for many years, they still have their investments stuck. The actor revealed, “At one point when everything is going down your economy, the share market you are hand to mouth.” Hansraj stated that he never got depressed or upset during the lockdown, but mentioned stocking up basic necessities like oil and food. He also shared that times like these are when the universe teaches one that no matter how rich they are, everyone is equal.
During the interview, the Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi actor also opened up about losing his close friend Kushal Punjabi He said, “I still feel I am here buddy you could have told me something whatever you were going through.” The actor added that one part of him broke after Kushal’s demise and revealed that they had been friends for 20-22 years.
Meanwhile, Chetan Hansraj also shared that he takes extra precautions while working on the sets. He mentioned that he schools the one who roams free without a mask on the sets. On the work front, Hansraj has featured in shows Kkusum, Kahaan Ghar Ghar Kii and Virrudh among others.
