Twitter has released its annual data for maximum tweets posted about TV shows and celebrities on Thursday. Salman Khan -hosted popular controversial reality show ‘Bigg Boss' tops the list. The reality show had topped for the consecutive third year. It was followed by Ghum Hai Kisi Key Pyaar Meiin, and Barrister Babu that secured the second and the third positions, respectively. Rajan Shahi’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai grabbed the fourth spot and Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali was on the fifth.
Talking about celebrities, late actor Sidharth Shukla made it to the top of the Most Tweeted About Bigg Boss Personality of 2021's list. His name was followed by Bigg Boss 14 winner Rubina Dilaik. Sidharth’s rumoured girlfriend Shehnaaz Gill secured the third position on the list. Singer Rahul Vaidya ranked fourth and Jasmin Bhasin fifth spot on the list.
Reportedly, the topics on the Twitter list are ranked on the basis of the number of tweets made between January 1, 2021, to November 15, 2021.
Twitter released a statement that read, “earlier this year, the finale of Bigg Boss 14 kept fans busy on Twitter. Soon after the Bigg Boss 14 finale in February, Bigg Boss OTT started in July. As the first season of Bigg Boss OTT came to an end, the 15th season of the show kick-started in October.”
The tragic demise of Sidharth Shukla left his fans and the Television industry in a state of shock and grief. Thus, the actor generated maximum trends on Twitter with everyone mourning over his sad demise and paying their tributes. The Bigg Boss 13 winner passed away on September 2 due to a heart attack at his Mumbai home.
