MasterChef India season 7 is currently gearing up for its finale week as celebrity chefs are presenting the contestants with challenges that decide their future on the show. On Friday’s episode, Lucknow-based home cook Sachin Khatwani, known for his love of making pastries, bid adieu to the show. He was eliminated from the show after he failed to live up to the expectations of the judges.

It was during a ‘dessert special challenge’ when Sachin had prepared a ‘very berry chocolate cake’ for the episode that saw renowned pastry chef Pooja Dhingra as a guest on the show. Talking about his exit from the show, the home cook expressed his gratitude and spoke about his learning experience. Quoted by The Telegraph, he said, “I have learnt so many things from the MasterChef kitchen. I will also take away a lot of things. When I came here a few months ago, I didn’t know anyone. Now that I’m leaving, I have made a family here.”


He went on to laud the judges for being great mentors and the contestants for being him every step of the way. The judges too heaped praises on his earlier dishes crab xec xec and poi bhatura. Sachin was assured by Chef Vikas Khanna that he has a lot of opportunities waiting for him outside the show, whereas Ranveer Brar thanked him for leaving the show with a lot of good memories. Garima Arora showered him with praises for being a fast learner and using it to his advantage. Talking about the top six contestants, Kamaldeep Kaur, Aruna Vijay, Nayanjyoti Saikia, Santa Sarmah, Suvarna Bagul and Gurkirat Singh will be competing for the title of MasterChef India season 7 in the upcoming week. 

For the unversed, MasterChef is one of the most loved cooking shows on television. Apart from India, it also has a UK version, Australian version, Asian version and many other adaptations world-wide. The current season is being judged by Garima Arora, Ranveer Brar and Vikas Khanna.
