Mona Singh Is In No Hurry To Have Kids; "I Have Frozen My Eggs And Now I Am Free"
In her latest interview, Mona Singh revealed that she is in no hurry to have kids as she has frozen her eggs and wants to travel the world with hubby
It was in the month of December last year that Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin actress Mona Singh tied the knot with her partner Shyam Gopalan. She has always taken an unconventional route and did not stick by the rules set by the society. Now, she is not in a hurry to have kids either. Mona Singh got married at the age of 39 and yet, she is not in the hurry to have kids despite her biological clock ticking. The reason is that she froze her eggs at the age of 34.
To ETimes, the actress said, “I have frozen my eggs and now I am free. I did that at the age of 34. Because I have gotten married now, I want to chill with my partner and travel the world with him. I haven’t done that yet. I have always travelled with my family or friends. I want to do that with my husband now and it is a different feeling now -- going for walks, getting all the attention, keeping Karwa Chauth vrat – all this is so nice. Even though I love kids, if you ask me now, I am not mentally prepared to have one. Later in life, I would definitely think about it."
Mona Singh also revealed that her mother supported her in the decision of freezing her eggs. She quoted, "My mother was so happy when she heard about my decision to freeze my eggs. We both went to my gynecologist in Pune and I had to take a few months break from work as the process involves a lot of mood swings. It took about 5 months for the process and now, as I said, I am free.”
Mona Singh, who will next be seen in Laal Singh Chaddha, stated that she wants to live her life to the fullest with her husband before she embraces motherhood.
