Injuries are a common part of dance reality shows. After Shraddha Arya, now Shantanu Maheshwari’s girlfriend, Nityaami Shirke has torn a ligament while shooting her first performance due to which she couldn’t perform for the second episode
No gain, without pain! The contestants of Nach Baliye 9 have gulped down the fact well-enough as they start shoot for the first episode of the show. A few days back, we told you how Shraddha Arya injured her back on the sets of another show, Khatra Khatra Khatra, because of which she was unable to perform. The actress however assured us that she is taking physiotherapy sessions which are helping her heal soon.
And now comes news of another injury- Shantanu Maheswari’s girlfriend, Nityaami Shirke has torn a ligament while shooting for the first episode of Nach Baliye 9. Sad, isn’t it? It was the couple’s first performance on the show and while dancing, she lost her balance during a step, resulting into an injury. The tear was quite bad and Nityaami couldn’t perform for the second episode, the shoot of which took place on July 19 at a studio in Malad West.

To confirm the news and take an update on her health, we contacted Nityaami but she refused to comment on it and instead asked us to contact her team for any further information. When we got in touch with her team, while refusing to divulge many details, they just confirmed that Nityaami injured herself but also added that we will see her perform next week.
Nach Baliye 9 premiered last week with much fanfare. We had brought to you our review for the first episode, where we didn’t see any jodi perform as it was all about celebrities introducing the contestants. Coming to Nityaami’s injury, we wish her a speedy recovery and hope to see her dance her heart out in the coming episode.
