Not Namik Paul And Varun Toorkey, But It's Siddharth Shivpuri Who Finally Makes It To Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2

SpotboyE.com was the first to tell you that Namik will enter Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 as a new entry and help Prerna (Erica Fernandes) to cause lots of misery in Anurag's (Parth Samthaan) life. Then, we also updated you that Namik got dropped from the character as Ekta had asked him to play the main lead in her second edition of the supernatural series Kavach. Post Namik's exit, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hain actor Varun Toorkey was in the running and he had even confirmed that with us, saying, "I am yet to get a confirmation from Balaji and sign a contract. So, I don't think it will be right to say much now. But yes I am in talks with them for Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2." Now, the latest is that it is Siddharth Shivpuri has been signed up for the character in question.
As per a report in Bombay Times this morning, Varun Toorkey's chances of acquiring the role in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 fell through because the modalities could not be worked out. "We were in talks with Varun, but the deal failed to materialise over the budget," a source has told the daily.
Siddharth Shivpuri, has been a part of popular shows like Sasural Simar Ka, Naagin and Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya. "Yes, I am playing Vikrant on the show and will commence the shoot very soon. I am really excited about this character, as it's layered. He has a past with Prerna (Erica) and had helped her in some way. This guy is full of attitude and seems positive. However, his real motive will be revealed at a later stage," Siddharth has confirmed.
When asked how he managed to bag the role for which two actors were in the race with him, Siddharth would only say,"Well, I am not aware of this. I don't know who all were approached for the part." Diplomacy helps!
