The character is being played by Madhura Naik, who was earlier seen as a vampire in Pyaar Ki Ye Ek Kahaani. “Though I play an ichchadhari peacock named Mayuri, the look is very bold and modern. I am here to give the Naagin sisters a tough time,” the actress says.
In the story, Mayuri enters the Raheja household on Ankush’s (Manish Khanna) birthday. She is introduced as his friend’s NRI daughter. Much to Shivanya’s discmofort, Mayuri starts flirting with her husband Ritik (Arjun Bijlani) right from the word go. 
Will this peacock add more colour to the drama? Now, that remains to be seen.
