In a pre-show press conference, Kapil and Sunil candidly addressed the infamous altercation, with Sunil playfully quipping that their rift was all part of a scripted narrative concocted years ago. Recalling the genesis of their faux feud, Sunil shared a lighthearted anecdote about being on a flight when news of Netflix's imminent arrival in India reached them. "So, kuch aisa ho ke (acha) publicity stunt ho," he jokingly remarked, alluding to the fabricated drama that unfolded between him and Kapil. Adding to the jest, Sunil mentioned that even Netflix India had supposedly contacted them for input on the matter, leading to the birth of their elaborate charade.
