Bollywood actor Anupam Kher is quite active on Twitter. From sharing videos to updates about his life, Anupam Kher stays connected with his fans through the micro-blogging site. Recently, he tweeted about the drastic fall in his number of followers on Twitter, and claimed that he lost 80,000 followers within 36 hours. He tagged Twitter, and questioned if there’s a glitch, and mentioned that it is merely an observation, and ‘not a complaint yet’. Actor Ssumier Pasricha, known for creating ‘Pammi Aunty’ viral videos, took a sarcastic dig at Anupam Kher for worrying about his number of followers amid the pandemic.
Anupam Kher tweeted, “Dear @Twitter and @TwitterIndia! I have 80,000 less followers in the last 36 hours! Is there a glitch in your app or something else is happening!! It is an observation. Not a complaint….. yet.:)”. Ssumier Pasricha reacted to this, and sarcastically responded with, “Dear god I lost lot of my friends and family members in this pandemic .. I see 10 less people who loved me .. is there a glitch in your software or something else .. it’s is an observation . Not a complaint .... Better things to worry about ... than Twitter followers.”
He found it unbelievable that Anupam Kher is worried about his number of followers, and wrote that the pandemic has taught us nothing. “Are we serious ? That we still worry about our followers ... are we so obsessed with this social media ? This pandemic has taught us nothing ...I thought great people think wise.”
