In our earlier interview the actress had also shared how her real-life look got him this iconic character, "I was called for the audition and they told me to wear a saree and come. And I told them 'no way I am wearing a saree' - because, at the back of my mind, I always felt that I cannot be a Balaji heroine ever in my life. I always felt I am not heroine material. I could be a vamp. While briefing about the show, they said a show named Pavitra Rishta is on the anvil and there is a Marathi girl character. My audition is also there on YouTube. That was my first audition. And when I went for the auditions I had gone with a twisted choti and a bindi on my forehead which I used to do in real life. My dadaji used to tell me now that you are a grown-up, you should put on a bindi as in our Marathi culture. And I also used to like putting that on since my childhood. I was finalised for that show in five days. Usually, at Balaji, it doesn't happen that way as they take a very long time to finalise their lead. I had heard that Ekta ma'am gets involved in casting and sees everything. I was the first one to get finalised in five days."  ALSO READ Pavitra Rishta 2: Ankita Lokhande Recalls Her First Audition; Says She Was Excited And Nervous At The Same Time -EXCLUSIVE

She had added, "I was very excited and nervous at the same time. I had been constantly calling the creative and asking pakka final hogai hoon na. Kyunki mujhe lag raha tha main thode hi na ho sakti hoon Balaji ki heroine. The character was very different from what I am in real life. Not a quiet person. So my mother was equally nervous - if I would be able to do it or not. But I pulled it off. The first two months I didn't have to say much and by the time I had to, I had understood Archana very well."
