Pearl V Puri was arrested last night by the Waliv Police (Vasai), after a minor and her family filed a case against the actor, accusing him of rape. The Police has said that it is an old case in which a minor girl had alleged that Puri had taken sexual favours from her by promising her a career in TV serials.
The actor was kept under custody overnight and is currently been taken to the court for hearing from the Waliv Police Station (Vasai). We bring to you visuals of the police station. Watch below:
A few hours back, SpotboyE had got you an official confirmation that Pearl V Puri has been arrested by the Vasai Police. Confirming the news to us, Mumbai Police's DCP Abhishek Trimukhe had said, "He has been arrested by Waliv Police Station (Vasai)."
Whereas Mira Bhayander Vasai Virar (MBVV) DCP, Zone 2, Sanjay Patil told TOI, "He has been remanded to police custody and booked for rape and under the section of The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, said Mira Bhayander Vasai Virar (MBVV) DCP, Zone 2, Sanjay Patil.
After the news broke, Pearl's friend and Naagin 3 co-star Anita Hassanandani has come out in support on social media. The actress posted a picture with him on her Instagram account and mentioned that there is something more to the story and she supports him. Meanwhile, Krystle D'souza and Shalin Bhanot have also stood in solidarity with Pearl.
