Actress Poonam Pandey made a name for herself in the entertainment industry with her bold choice of outfits and knack for creating controversies. She had been ruling the headlines for the past few days for faking her death to raise awareness about cervical cancer. Her death hoax has certainly left the netizens disgusted as they have been condemning her for her ‘cheap tricks’ and in a way ‘making fun of the cancer patients’. While her industry friends have lashed out at her, her estranged husband Sam Bombay has extended his support by expressing his delight that she is alive and well. 

Having tied the knot with the Lock Upp contestant in 2020, Sam recently reacted to the entire saga during an interview with the Hindustan Times. He opened up about it and stated that when he heard the heartbreaking news, he felt nothing in his heart, no sense of loss. He wondered why he didn’t feel anything. Conforming that he and the 32-year-old actress are still married, he expressed that she is alive as she has a lot to contribute to society. Tagging her the ‘Boldest Indian Woman,’ Bombay said that people should respect her for wanting to raise awareness about an issue, completely disregarding her fame and image. For those who don't know, apart from announcing her passing through an Instagram post, her manager also confirmed the news during a conversation with media publications. During a conversation with News18, Poonam Pandey’s manager said, “Poonam Pandey was not only a luminary in the film industry, but she was also a beacon of strength and resilience. Her unwavering spirit amidst her health struggles was truly remarkable.”
