Popular Actress And Bigg Boss 7 Contestant Kamya Punjabi Set To Enter Politics
Kamya Punjabi has reportedly joined the Congress party, but is yet to make an official announcement
Kamya Punjabi is a well-known name in the TV industry. She has been entertaining the fans for years now. She also gained prominence after her remarkable stint on Bigg Boss 7. She is now set to enter politics. Yes! You read it right. As per reports, the actress will join the Congress party. There has been no confirmation from either the party or the actress. But Kamya's reply to a tweet affirming her decision has confirmed the news.
It is speculated that the actress will soon make an announcement. An ETimes TV report said though the actress had always aspired to join politics, her busy schedule did not leave any time for her. Hence, now that her show, Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki has ended, she aims to try her hand at politics. “Kamya always aspired to get into politics. However, she couldn’t take the plunge earlier due to her work and busy schedule. Now that her show Shakti — Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki has wrapped up, she has decided to take the plunge," the report said.
Kamya has been associated with the entertainment industry for almost 20 years. She has done various TV shows - Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, Maryada: Lekin Kab Tak? and Beintehaa and more.
Kamya tied the knot with a Delhi-based healthcare professional, Shalabh Dang in February 2020. She also has a daughter from her previous marriage.
