Qubool Hai Actress Nishi Singh PASSES AWAY At 50; Husband Sanjay Singh Recalls Her LAST Days, ‘She Fought Hard To Survive’
Actress Nishi Singh, known for playing Haseena Bi on the show ‘Qubool Hai’ passes away at the age of 50 due to medical complications
Popular Television actress Nishi Singh died on Sunday afternoon after battling health complications for over three years. She passed away due to medical complications just two days after Nisha celebrated her 50th birthday. Singh was widely known for playing Haseena Bi on Karan Singh Grover's starrer show ‘Qubool Hai’ and for her stint in shows like Hitler Didi, Ishqbaaz, and Tenali Rama. Nishi Singh reportedly had suffered three strokes of paralysis in the past few years and this year her health deteriorated when she suffered another attack.
Nishi’s husband Sanjay Singh Bhadli, who is a writer and actor, confirmed the sad news of her demise to Etimes and recalled her last days. "Last few weeks, she found it difficult to eat because of a severe throat infection. She stopped eating solid food and we could only feed her liquids. The biggest irony is that we celebrated her 50th birthday the day before yesterday (September 16). Though she couldn’t talk, she seemed very happy. I requested her to eat her favourite besan ka laddoo and she did,” Sanjay was quoted as saying.
Bhadli added, “She fought hard to survive. She passed away around 3 pm. The biggest pain is that she was with me for 32 years. Even though she was unwell, she was with me. Now, I don’t have anyone to call family other than our two children.”
Sanjay also revealed that the family was going through financial issues due to Nishi Singh’s illness. He sold his house and car in March this year to meet up the medical expenses of his wife. The writer mentioned that a few friends from the industry like Ramesh Taurani, Gul Khan, Surbhi Chandna, and CINTAA provided them monetary help but that was not sufficient so he had to sell his house.
Nishi Singh is survived by her husband Sanjay and their two children, a son and daughter.
