Bigg Boss 14 runner up, singer Rahul Vaidya is all set to tie the knot with his ladylove, actress Disha Parmar. The couple is getting married on July 16. It will be an intimate wedding ceremony in the presence of family and close friends. The preparations for the wedding are going on in full swing. The couple and their friends have been rehearsing for the past few days to perform on the Sangeet night. Ahead of the much-anticipated #DishulWedding, here’s the timeline of Rahul and Disha’s cute love story -- from how they met till their impending wedding ceremony.
HOW THEY MET- Rahul and Disha met each other through mutual friends. The singer had revealed that Disha and he hung out together often. In a throwback interview with Bombay Times, Rahul Vaidya had said, “I met Disha through common friends two years ago. We hit it off instantly, and often hung out together.” Disha later shared that even social media played an important role in building the foundation of their relationship. The Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara actress told ETimes, “I liked a song by him and commented ‘Loved it’ on the post." Later, in the same interview, Rahul had said, "I thought itni sundar ladki hai toh mauka kaise chhod dete. I messaged her, we started chatting and soon exchanged numbers. We hung out for the first time in Delhi while shooting for my single, Yaad Teri, in November 2018."
RAHUL VAIDYA IN BIGG BOSS 14- Initially, Rahul and Disha had just connected as friends. They later grew close to each other. The singer entered the controversial show in the year 2020. He had claimed that he was single and that Disha and he are just friends. During the timeline of the show, Rahul realised his feelings for the actress. On November 11, 2020 - Disha’s Birthday, he wrote, “Will you marry me?” on a white tee and proposed to the actress on national television. Rahul waited every weekend for an answer from Disha, but there was no reply. Later, on Valentine’s Day 2021, Disha Parmar entered the house and said “Yes”.
Meanwhile, during Rahul’s Bigg Boss 14 stint, Disha Parmar continued to show support to him. After Bigg Boss 14, Rahul and Disha often made public appearances. They even jetted off on a holiday to Lonavala. The couple also celebrated Gudi Padwa last year, observing Maharashtrian traditions. Rahul Vaidya and Disha Parmar maintained that they will be getting married soon. However, the pandemic restrictions delayed the process. The singer then headed to South Africa’s Cape Town to be a part of Khatron Ke Khiladi 11. A few days after his return, Rahul and Disha took to their respective social media accounts and made an official joint announcement about their wedding. The statement read: “With the blessings of our families, we are delighted to share this special moment with you all. We are elated to announce that our wedding is set to take place on the 16th of July, 2021. We seek your love and blessings as we begin this new chapter of love and togetherness (sic)."

The couple has since started wedding preparations in full swing. Aly Goni and Vindu Dara Singh are set to perform at the Dishul wedding sangeet. The couple has also shared videos of friends from their Sangeet rehearsals. Videos of Rahul and Disha practising their performance also surfaced.
Three days to the Dishul wedding, Rahul Vaidya and Disha Parmar shared videos from the Mehendi ceremony. To-be-bride Disha Parmar looked beautiful in a pink and green outfit, flaunting her Mehendi.
