Now, months after being adamant on not divorcing him, Rakhi has now expressed her joy at legally separating from him. During a recent interaction, when she was asked the reason behind her happiness, she said it was because she is getting a divorce. She went on to say that now she is free, she is leaving behind these things and moving on. For the unversed, the Main Hoon Na actress has announced her marriage with Adil earlier in 2023. She had released pictures and videos from their secret court marriage, before accusing him of infidelity and mishandling her funds when she was participating in Bigg Boss Marathi season 4. Through her many media interactions she also accused him of killing her mother by not paying for her cancer treatment. He was arrested by the Oshiwara police and sent to judicial custody by the Andheri Court. He also has an FIR filed against him in Mysuru by an Iranian woman, who accused him of raping her.
On the work front, Rakhi Sawant was last seen in Bigg Boss Marathi 4, where she was declared the fifth runner-up despite being a wild-card entrant.
