Two of the biggest superstars of nation-Shah Rukh Khan and Virat Kohli are trending on social media, courtesy of, their fans. While the two share admiration for each other, their fans are fighting on Twitter ahead of IPL. Yes, you read that right! Netizens are divided with fans of SRK and Virat hurling abuses at each other. Things got worse when they dragged the families of both stars into their ugly spat. 

The reason for their fight is still not clear. #ShahRukhKhan and #ViratKohli are trending on the micro-blogging site as their respective fans indulged in an ugly spat. One Twitter user wrote, “#ViratKohli Himself is inspired By #ShahRukhKhan Kohli Fans Should Focus On Winning Kidney, Lungs & Heart in IPL, Not in Comparing 2011 Born Star Virat With Legend Like #SRK.” Another said, “Awkat me rha kro beta jaha cricket ki pahuch nhi wha bhi Shah Rukh Khan hai....kolly should focus on winning heart & lungs in IPL.”

Meanwhile, SRK and Virat have always expressed their admiration and fondness for each other in the public domain. Last year in October, the Pathaan actor celebrated India's T20 World Cup win against Pakistan and lauded Virat for his brilliant performance during the match. SRK penned a sweet note for the cricketer, showering heaps of praise on him. The actor tweeted, “So good to see a great game of cricket. So wonderful to see India win.
