Controversy queen Rakhi Sawant recently took everyone by surprise after she announced her wedding to boyfriend Adil Khan. She posted her and Adil photos of signing the marriage certificate and a video of exchanging garlands in a nikkah on social media. Pictures of her marriage certificate went viral and it claimed Rakhi changed her name to Fatima post-marriage. Now, her brother Rakesh has responded to reports claiming she has converted to Islam after marriage. Expressing his shock, he said he is not aware of any such development.
Speaking with Zoom digital, Rakesh spoke about Rakhi changing her name to Fatima and said he knows nothing about this as it is a personal matter between husband and wife. He said in Hindi, “Ye toh mujhe nahi pata. Ye unki personal cheeze hai, husband-wife ki baatein hai. Humko toh nahi pata. Adding to this, Rakhi’s brother stated they all are tense. Rakhi is the youngest one in the family and she has suffered a lot in her life. “Hum sab tension mein hai. Rakhi sabse choti hai aur puri zindagi usne bahut dukh dekhe hai. Bigg Boss mein last time Ritesh ne bhi usko use karne ki koshish ki aur usko bahut dukh hua, pareshani hui. Islye Rakhi ne iss baar proper shaadi ki hai,” Rakesh stated.
As per reports, Rakhi Sawant secretly tied the knot with Adil on 2nd July 2022 in a low-key ceremony. The couple got married just after three months of dating. In an interview with Etimes, she had earlier revealed they kept their marriage secret because Adil's sister and his family were against their wedding. She said even Adil believed that his sister won't get a good suitor if people got to know that he was married to her.
