Ridhima Pandit: I Don't Mind Playing A Naagin Or Daayan On-Screen
Ridhima Pandit, in an exclusive chat with SpotboyE.com spilled the beans on the kind of roles she prefers doing
Television actress Ridhima Pandit who is currently seen on Colors TV Khatra Khatra Khatra wants to do a comeback in the fiction space. Discussing about her willingness to return, Ridhima told us, "I am very raring to get into fiction. But nothing of my interest has come across yet. I want to do stuff which is progressive and not regressive. I am okay to be for 9 hours in a saree and look gorgeous, but I also have to make sense. I just don't want to look pretty; the actor in me has to be satisfied. And yes, I am looking at a role which is prominent. I have done action and comedy, but romance is one genre I would love to explore onscreen. I don't know why people don't find me worthy to be romantic (laughs)".
When asked if fantasy will be creatively satisfying for her, she said, "Why not? We have grown up watching fantasies like Ali Baba Chaalis Chor, Haatim Taai, Naagin and their characters are yet so iconic. Plus, you get to look gorgeous becoming a Naagin. I am not okay doing kitchen politics because I don't feel like taking up a show which doesn't pass on a message, even if it’s a saas bahu show. In Bahu Hamari Rajnikant also there was saas bahu drama, but it was so cute. It brought out some cute emotions in the real story. I can't die ten times and come back the 11th time which becomes very unrealistic".
The lady has already impressed the audience with her character Rajni (Robot) in Bahu Hamari Rajnikant. Then she did her digital debut with Yo Ke Hua Bro and last year surprised us in the character of Devina in AltBalaji's HUM- I'm Because Of Us. She has also tried her hands at stand-up comedy in The Drama Company and was one of the finalists in the action-based reality show, Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 9.
