Rithvik Dhanjani will next be seen playing gangster Abhay Aangre in Ekta Kapoor’s upcoming web show Cartel. Based in Mumbai, the action drama has a story laced with intense action, drama and power play. Notably, it has an ensemble cast of 138 actors, including Tanuj Virwani, Sanaya Pithawala, Supriya Pathak, Pranati Rai Prakash and Divya Agarwal. On Sunday, the gripping trailer of the show was released and it has left the audience all excited.

Amongst everyone in the cast, the Pavitra Rishta actor bonded really well with Supriya. While talking exclusively to SpotboyE.com, Rithvik opened up about working with the senior actress and mentioned that he feels blessed to have worked opposite her.

"I was very nervous to work opposite Supriya Pathak Ji. She is so beautiful and lovely, I feel so blessed to have worked opposite her. Supriya ji was a riot off the camera…she has such interesting stories to tell. She is so chilled out. I am still in awe of her. Now, she has become like my friend and I told her I will take you for a coffee date. Abhi time aisa hai we are still not going out much. As soon as I get the first chance, I am going to call Supriya ma'am. I am waiting to take her out for a coffee and will celebrate for Cartel.”

When asked what made him say yes to Cartel, Rithvik shared, “Firstly, the script itself, it's so beautifully written. When I read the story, the world of Cartel, the world of Angre looked so beautiful and unanimous, that it automatically took me in that enigmatic feeling. And, my character of Abhay Aangre is nowhere close to me and it has so many shades to it. So, it was a huge challenge thrown at me. So, I said to myself I had to take this up."

On a related note, Cartel, which will narrate the story of five crime lords who carry out their illegal operations in different cities, will start streaming on ALTBalaji from August 20.
