Television actress Rubina Dilaik has risen to fame after her Bigg Boss 14 win. The actress has managed to win hearts and her fans love her. After the grand finale of BB 14, Rubina celebrated her victory with friends and family for some days. Later, she soon got back to work. The actress featured in a few music videos, her latest being Neha Kakkar’s Marjaneya with her husband Abhinav Shukla. During her time in the Bigg Boss 14 house, Rubina Dilaik had opened up about having suicidal thoughts and being distanced from family, some years back.
Speaking with Bollywood Hungama, Rubina Dilaik revealed what helped her get through her tough phase. Opening up on battling depression, the Shakti actress recalled the time, about 7-8 years back and described herself as “unstable, over-ambitious, insecure” She shared that she was “not knowing what to do, not understanding how to handle professional life with personal life, away from family, too much into work and not find time to make friends”. The actress explained how in such a situation, she just isolated herself from the “possibility of needing a happy fulfilling life.”
She revealed that she listened to audio tapes, took self-help courses to understand what she is going through. Rubina mentioned she started online counselling and therapy. She mentioned reading too. Dilaik shared that as she wanted to find peace with something, she found relief with Yoga and meditation. She also revealed she read about things on the internet and mentioned reading journals. The BB 14 winner shared that she took baby steps like talking to family and friends, reading, counselling sessions and more to help herself get through the tough phase.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Rubina Dilaik was last seen in the song Marjaneya. She has some new projects in the pipeline after resuming work in full swing.
