The second wave of Coronavirus washed everyone away just like the Tsunami, bringing everything again to a standstill. Due to this, once again the entertainment industry is getting affected. Having said that, as a lockdown is imposed again in the state, the popular show, Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2 is also bearing the brunt of it as the shoot came to a halt. Akanksha Juneja who plays the role of antagonist in the show as Kanak Desai recently revealed that there’s a lot of chaos and the cast and crew has no idea if they will be coming back on the sets to shoot or not.
“I am in utter shock and sad of what suddenly happened in the city. We were shooting extra because there’s lockdown over the weekend,” Juneja said to Etimes. “We were planning to create a bank by working till Friday. We were all prepared. By evening when we got over, we came out and made calls to our home. We got to know there’s shutdown in the city. When we discussed among ourselves, what was gonna happen. We had no idea whether we are shooting tomorrow, not shooting tomorrow or till when are we not shooting,” she added.
Stating that it is complete chaos now and no one has any idea what’s going to happen next, Juneja further said, “It is a complete chaos because nobody has any idea. It’s an uninformed lockdown. No one has any idea how long it is going to last. Production house said they will inform us as and when they get any circular about it from the authorities. We got to know some areas are going under lockdown and were discussing the same. I am in shock. We just started six months back, it’s new.”
Last year, many shows went off-air abruptly and Akanksha is praying that Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2 doesn’t have the same fate as people are loving this show.
