Sanjay Gagnani & Poonam Preet To Get Engaged This Month
Telly couple Sanjay Gagnani & Poonam Preet, who have been steadily dating for 6 years, are all set to exchange rings on February 18
A day after we told you
that Woh Apna Sa actor Ashish Kapoor has secretly got engaged to
girlfriend Ilda Kroni, comes in the news that telly couple Sanjay Gagnani and
Poonam Preet are all set to exchange rings onFebruary 18.
The couple has been dating
for the past six years and is finally taking their relationship to the next
level. Their engagement will take place in Surat. However, the wedding date is
yet to be finalised.
Sanjay told a leading
daily, “There are no marriage plans as of now. Our careers are our priority and
we want to invest our energy and time in work.”
When asked about what they
like best about each other, Sanjay said he likes Poonam’s innocence the most,
while the latter said that she loves his honest and caring nature.
Sanjay further said that
coming from the same professional background helped them understand each other
better.
He elaborated,
"Communication is crucial for any relationship to grow. There's always so
much to talk about when you're from the same industry. Exchanging viewpoints,
helping each other, criticising, praising, discussing things about the
industry... all this help in creating a better understanding."
Poonam agrees with Sanjay’s
opinion and said, "When you are in the same profession, especially
showbiz, there is no need to clarify when you work overtime.
During the course of the
interview, Sanjay admits that Poonam has helped him overcome marriage
phobia. "I was
marriage-phobic. In fact, it has taken me six years to overcome my marriage
phobia. It was all because of the bitter experiences I had before I met Poonam.
She has made me believe in love again.”
At a time when marriages
are falling apart, Poonam said that she is not scared of commitment. "I
believe everybody's destiny is different. So, these things don't really bother
me. I have faith in my relationship and I'm not at all marriage-phobic. I have
always dreamt of a fairytale wedding," she says.
Sanjay and Poonam met on
social media and exchanged mobile numbers. Eventually love blossomed and a
friendly interaction turned into a relationship. The two have never worked with
each other in a TV show but have shared screen pace in print ads.
Sanjay has been seen in
shows like Kundali Bhagya, Veera, Bairi Piya and Fear Files. He has also
featured in films like Heroine and Rakhtbeej. Poonam Preet, on the other hand,
was last seen in Star Plus' Naamkarann as Juhi.
