Sasural Simar Ka Actor Shagufta Ali Acquires Help From Rohit Shetty During Her Financial Crisis; Says ‘I Am Absolutely Grateful’
After receiving help from Neena Gupta, Sumeet Raghavan, Sushant Singh, Sasural Simar Ka actor Shagufta Ali receives help from filmmaker Rohit Shetty as she was facing financial trouble
Actor Shagufta Ali who is known for her roles in Sasural Simar Ka, Saath Nibhana Saathiya and Saans has been battling with depleting finances due to poor health and being jobless. The situation went south when she had no job for four years and had to sell her car and jewellery to pay the mounting medical expenses. Reportedly, stars like Neena Gupta, Sumeet Raghavan, Sushant Singh offered her financial help. Now, it is said the filmmaker Rohit Shetty has also come forward to help her financially.
Indian Film & Television Director’s Association’s (IFTDA) President Ashoke Pandit confirmed the news and told Pinkvilla, “When I found out about Shagufta Ali’s financial troubles, I reached out to her to know how we can help her. After understanding her plight, I spoke to Rohit Shetty who immediately agreed to help Shagufta ji. He has donated a generous amount, and we are really thankful to him for that. I am reaching out to more people from the industry, and I have got a good response so far.”
Shagufta Ali also expressed her gratitude for Rohit Shetty. She was quoted saying, “It was done immediately, and I am very very obliged. I am so grateful and so thankful to him. God bless him for whatever he has done for me. He has never met me, we have never ever come face to face, I have never spoken to him on the phone, and he went all out and did something like this. I am absolutely grateful,” adding that her treatment will begin soon.
Shagufta has diabetes which has now started affecting her eyes. While speaking to SpotboyE.com, Ali even revealed she was being diagnosed with third-stage of breast cancer almost twenty years back and had to go through a major surgery at that time.
