She had shared that her finances have been depleting over the last four years owing to her ill health and no work opportunities. After she opened up about her situation with us, the actress received financial help from CINTAA and her colleagues like Rohit Shetty, Neena Gupta, Madhuri Dixit, Johnny Lever and more. In a recent interview, she said that she wants to return to work as the set is where she belongs.
Speaking to ETimes, she said, "I am open to working again and it is important for me to return to the set to sustain myself in life. Some people have approached me and I am really looking for something really interesting but the point is that I need to return to the sets. It is the place I belong."
Furthermore, when asked the actress if she received offers from friends she worked with, Shagufta Ali said, "Not really whatever has come to me is from the outside maybe they didn't know about financial condition also there are some who ignore it but all the same, I want to return to work and God willing I will soon."
Shagufta Ali had opened up about her difficult life and revealed that she started facing issues in the last 4 years as work reduced. The actress managed things on her own by selling off her car and jewellery. However, things got from bad to worse because of the pandemic. "For everyone else they have been facing lockdown for the last one year but for me it's going on for the last 4 years," said the actress.
