Shaheer Sheikh, Who Recently Embraced Fatherhood, Calls It 'A Beautiful And Amazing Experience'

Actor Shaheer Sheikh's fans are delighted to see him in ‘Pavitra Rishta 2.0’, and cannot stop raving about his performance as Manav. He made his fans even happier when he announced he has embraced fatherhood for the first time. Shaheer and his wife Ruchikaa Kapoor welcomed a baby girl on September 10, 2021. Earlier this week, the actor shared a picture of himself and his wife from her baby shower and revealed the name of his baby daughter - Anaya.
The 37-year-old actor has, in a recent interview, also expressed his feelings after being a father. Calling the entire process a beautiful and amazing feeling, Shaheer said that he has never felt this connected to anyone else, the way he does with his daughter.
"Ahh! I can’t really explain in words. The feeling is so new to me and it is still sinking in and I am still trying to figure out what is happening to me because it is all new for me. The feeling is such that it can’t be put together in words. I was told that fathers take time to relate to the journey when the child is born, but from the moment I have held my little one, I have felt such a strong connection with her, I can’t tell you. It is such a beautiful and amazing experience”, Shaheer Sheikh was quoted as saying, by ETimes.
Shaheer elaborated about his connection with his daughter and revealed how her expressions take his attention. He explained, “I’ve never ever in my life felt like this before. I don’t know how to express it. I have not felt this connected to anyone else in life, the way I feel with my daughter. Agar woh palkein bhi chapakle yaa thoda sa frown bhi kar le mujhe lagta hai kya ho gaya… and what I can do for her. It is something else, the feeling is unbelievable and now I can understand what our parents must have gone through or must be going through. I know usually it is said that mothers have a very strong connection but I don’t know why I am so connected to her.”
During his interaction with ETimes, Shaheer also narrated the moment he first held the newborn baby in his arms and said, "When my wife was in labour, doctors were asking me to do so many things. They were asking me to keep a record of weight, time of birth and I could not process things. I was not able to understand what to do and what not to.”
He continued, “I was getting so nervous and I was just thinking if everything is going fine. I was continuously thinking about that. Then suddenly things changed and how you look at life changes. You start feeling aap ki jaan kisi aur mein atki hai… I got that feeling when I first held her in my hands. I felt yeh meri he jaan hai."
Work-wise, Shaheer is currently reprising his role as Dev Dixit in the third part of the popular TV show ‘Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi’. He is also seen playing the role of Manav Deshmukh in the second season of Ekta Kapoor’s show ‘Pavitra Rishta’ opposite Ankita Lokhande.
