Actress Shamita Shetty, who is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming movie ‘The Tenant’, recently made headlines when was spotted leaving a party with television actor and close friend Aamir Ali. As their cozy pictures and videos went viral on social media, netizens started to speculate if the actors are in a romantic relationship. On Monday evening, Shamit took to her social media to dismiss the rumours and asked people to be open-minded.

In her two-part tweet, Shamita reiterated that she is single and happy. The Bigg Boss 15 contestant, who was in a relationship with actor Raqesh Bapat before calling it quits, spoke about the prudish mindset of the people and their narrow-minded assumptions. She wrote, “I'm baffled by society and it's convenient prudish mindset all across. Why is every action and every person subjected to scrutiny or snap judgement with no reality check?
