Shark Tank India’s Ashneer Grover RUBBISHES Reports That Claimed He Owns A Dining Table Worth Rs 10 Crore; Asks ‘Is It A Space Rocket’?
Ex- Co-founder of BharatPe Ashneer Grover recently dismissed reports that claimed he owns a dining table worth Rs. 10 crore
Even though Shark Tank India got wrapped a long while back, the show has been making a lot of noise and buzz. Be it the judges or the former contestants, the show has been making headlines for multiple reasons. Out of all the sharks, Former BharatPe managing director Ashneer Grover often grabs eyeballs. Recently, Ashneer reacted to reports that claimed he has spent a hefty amount on a dining table. According to media reports, Ashneer Grover spent Rs 10 crore on a luxury dining table.
Ashneer has now rubbished all such claims and clarified that his ‘dining table worth is not even 0.5% of the total amount. Taking to his Twitter handle, the Former BharatPe Co-founder shared a picture of his dining table and wrote, "Is it a space rocket? Is it a time machine? No, it’s a Rs. 10 crore dining table !! Haha! I don’t hold the Guinness World Record for the most expensive table ever. Nor do I intend to. Press - don’t fall for BharatPe Board lies - you’ll lose your credibility like them." In another follow-up tweet, he explained, "It’s not even worth 0.5% of that. I’d rather put 10 cr in business and create employment for 1,000 of folks so that they can earn and put dignified meal on their tables for their families. This all came after a report was published by Bloomberg which stated Ashneer along with his wife lives a luxurious lifestyle. The reports suggested that Ashneer had told several people in his company that he had spent a whopping Rs. 10 crores on the dining table.

Not to forget, Ashneer recently resigned from BharatPe after his wife Madhuri Jain Grover was accused of engaging in the misuse of company funds which included creating fake vendors to using funds to build their lavish lifestyle. In a statement, BharatPe said it reserves all rights to take further legal action against Ashneer and his family. The statement read, "The Grover family and their relatives engaged in extensive misappropriation of company funds, including, but not limited to, creating fake vendors through which they siphoned money away from the company’s expense account and grossly abused company expense accounts in order to enrich themselves and fund their lavish lifestyles."
