Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahani actor Sooraj Thapar tested positive for COVID-19 a while when he was shooting for his show in Goa. He felt a little feverish when he landed in Mumbai and then developed a high fever due to which, he was hospitalised. Though it was a task to find a hospital bed initially, his family then found one in Goregaon hospital and later, was shifted to Lilavati hospital. It was also reported that Sooraj Thapar’s condition deteriorated and that he was in the ICU. Now, giving an update on his health, Sooraj’s friend, actor Navin Saini revealed that he has recovered and has been discharged from the hospital.
Navin Saini confirmed it to TOI as he was quoted saying, “Yes, Sooraj has been discharged. He went home yesterday. He had breathing issues when he'd tested positive. He is much better now. His fever has gone. He is talking and eating well.” He was asked if Sooraj was on oxygen support, Saini replied, “Yes, but his oxygen rate is under control now.” Added Saini, “Sooraj is still feeling weak though, but he's resting it out and should be absolutely fine in the next seven days or so.” Earlier, while updating about his condition, a friend close to the family said to the same portal that they were running around for a hospital bed.
He said, “When his fever shot up, his family felt it was best to admit him. Getting a bed wasn't easy, but after a bit of running around, they finally found a bed in a hospital in Goregaon.” The family friend added, “His condition is stable right now. Contrary to reports, he is not in ICU. The entire hospital is small and has few beds. Hopefully, he will get well soon.”
