Here's Sherlyn Chopra speaking her mind on the sexual harassment case she filed against Kwan's Anirban Das Blah and also drug abuse in Bollywood
Sherlyn Chopra accused talent management company, Anirban Das Blah of sexual harassment, a few days back. We spoke to Sherlyn at length about her allegations and also what she feels about the on-going drug case in Bollywood.
Excerpts from the conversation:
You alleged Kwan's Anirban Das Blah of sexual harassment, a few. Can you share the incident in detail?
I went to meet Mr. Anirban Blah, the founder of Kwan which represents Deepika Padukone, to discuss good work opportunities in Bollywood. The first thing he asked me upon meeting me was the size of my breasts and if they were real. A little while later, he asked me if he could touch my breasts to feel them. I had asked him to mind his tongue and suggested that he touch his wife’s breasts. He told me that he lived in an open marriage and that he was free to touch the breasts of other women. I was aghast at his shamelessness and sheer audacity to attack a woman’s modesty.
Why didn't you take action against him?
He had told me categorically that more than half of the film industry was just like him. And that the sooner I realise this fact, the better it would be for me. Sadly, what he had said turned out to be true! A few supposed A-list filmmakers whom I had met a few weeks after having met Anirban, turned out to be as uncouth, graceless and brazen faced rogues as Anirban.
You also said recently that you have witnessed cricketers' wives taking drugs but didn't disclose their names. Reason?
I have explained time and again that the reason I’m talking about drug abuse in Bollywood now is because of NCB’s involvement with Swachh Bollywood Abhiyan. The day NCB calls me for a detailed testimony, I will meet NCB and do the needful as a law abiding citizen.
However, we saw you taking a jibe at Deepika Padukone for her alleged involvement in the drug nexus?
Like many others, I had chosen to believe Deepika Padukone’s depression theory. Little did I know that Deepika engages in drug consumption. It’s high time that Deepika upgrade her slogan from ‘Depression is an illness’ to ‘Drug abuse leads to prolonged mood swings which further leads to depression’ and ‘I will not indulge in drug consumption as it is not cool!’
You believe that the entire Bollywood industry is under the influence of drugs, what makes you say that?
I said that more than half of Bollywood indulges in drug consumption as it is sadly considered cool, fashionable & classy.
You also claimed that Sushant Singh Rajput's death is connected to the Bollywood cartel?
There was a high profile party held on June 8th after which we lost Disha Salian. There was another high profile party held on June 13th after which we lost Sushant Singh Rajput.
