Here comes bad
news for all the fans of Drashti Dhami aka Nandini of Silsila Badalte
Rishton Ka (on Colors) as they will soon not see her anymore in the show. The show which has been facing a lot of flak for quite sometime now
due to its controversial theme will finally see a marked shift in its essence
owing to which a short leap is being planned. Post the leap, Kunal (Shakti
Arora) and Mauli (Aditi Sharma) will be very much a part of the show but
Nandini (Drashti Dhami) would have made an exit.
Drashti shared
the news on social media by posting a long thank you message for co-actors,
producers and channel. She writes: "I still remember the outdoor shoot in
Goa like it happened yesterday to working with new co-stars who are my friends
today...actually very very good friends & to the sheer hard work I put in
to bring “Nandini” to life on screen. “It’s actually been a roller coaster
rides which has been bumpy, but been a huge learning for me both as an actor as
well as a person... I do want to thank my producers [this is my 2nd show with
them] the channel, my co actors/colleague on this show and everyone associated
with this show & to my fans who have been so so supportive. Sending out
love to my co-actors, Till the next acting initiative here’s Drashti signing
off, till we meet again.Adios. Lots of love @aditidevsharma @shaktiarora@ashukla09 @colorstv @ravs0058@pearl_spellbound"
We contacted our
sources on the sets to know the reason of actress sudden departure and they
informed: "It was Drashti's last day on the set, today. Her exit sequence
has already been shot. From quite sometime, she wanted to leave the show as she
wasn't happy with the way Nandini's character was being shaped. In fact, hatred
towards her character from fans was another reason for her to step back--- but
somehow she continued until now. And now when the makers planned the leap to
bring some twist in the show, Drashti felt that the time was perfect to bid an
adieu".
We texted Drashti Dhami to know the reason in her words but she chose not to comment.
Meanwhile, we
informed you the other day that show is going off air soon and the supernatural
series Tantra will take over its slot. But this sudden development in the show
seems to faintly suggest that the makers could be planning to give their last
shot to try and keep it going. We all know that things change on shows on
Indian television on day-to-day basis.
In the upcoming
episodes, you will see Kunal and Nandini get married to each other but after
marriage Nandini dies. However, not much about her exit sequence is still
known.
Drashti has been part of many TV shows in the past- like Dill Mill Gayye, Geet– Hui Sabse Parayi, Madhubala– Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani and Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil. We too are going to miss Drashti in Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka.
