Shweta Tiwari’s character will be seen undergoing a transformation in Begusarai, post the time leap.
Earlier, the actress played the role of Bindiya Priyom Thakur, a dancer in the village of Begusarai.
Now, she will be seen as Begum Sarai, the Mahathakurain who rules the village with an iron hand.
A source close to the show said, “Her new look is a mix of Madhuri’s character from Gulaab Gang and Supriya Pathak from Ram Leela. After the time leap, Shweta is out to avenge her husband’s murder. It’s going to be a strong, powerful role for her now.”
The show will also introduce new characters into the narrative. “Five young boys will be raised by Begum, one of which will be her own son,” added the source.
