Sony DISCONTINUES Crime Patrol Satark On Fridays. Patrolling Gone Wrong?
It’s been more than a year since Sony’s Crime Patrol turned into a daily to take on the Life OK show, Savdhaan India (Crime Patrol Goes Daily, Turns The Heat On Savdhaan, Oct 13).
From the very
beginning, the episodes which aired between Monday and Thursday -
Crime Patrol Dial 100-were
lacklustre (the show initially aired from Friday to Sunday). Slowly but surely, the episodes went
from substandard to atrocious.
And from the
looks of it, if you are a real whodunit fan, you will say that things are getting crazy on the Crime Patrol
front.

Crime Patrol Satark has SUDDENLY
DISAPPEARED from the small screen on Fridays.
Why discontinue something that had high production
values, great actors (especially the lady who plays the cop) and intriguing
plots?
Clearly, the
focus is on numbers only which are strangely higher from Mondays,
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The GRPs registered are anywhere
in the region of 1.5 - 2.5, in contrast to the 1.2 recorded on Fridays.

Satark on Saturdays and Sundays continues to maintain a steady rate of 1.5
to 2GRPs.
Sad but true.
